12 foods to try in Tuscany

I am so excited to announce that my guest post on Traverse Journey’s blog went live today! I’m sharing the 12 best foods to try (and wine of course) while traveling through Tuscany. The list includes everything from beans to boar, and highlights some of my favorite Tuscan staples. Head over to their site to check it out!

I am very excited to be working with Traverse Journeys, a company that is all about traveling with meaning, which I love. They focus on people, planet, and purpose, staying in eco-friendly accommodations and donating partial proceeds to community partners. By working with local guides, each of their trips allow travelers to connect with the culture and engage with its people.

I’ve included some photos below from Tuscany and Florence that relate to the post. I think the Chianti region is one of my favorites in all of Italy, there’s just a feeling of peace there that’s hard to find. And of course, so much beauty in the form of rolling hills and sparkling silver olive groves, with sunsets that are some of the most beautiful in the world. I visited a few times for horseback riding and wine tasting, and was enchanted by the landscape. I also distinctly remember riding out of Florence during golden hour on my way to the Amalfi Coast, completely mesmerized by all the green surrounding me, shocked that the massive landmark of the duomo was still visible from so far outside of the city center. Safe to say I am hooked and deeply in love with this area of Italy.

If you’re looking for more recommendations on where to find the foods I highlighted in the guest blog and are traveling to Florence, visit this post for delicious photos and lovely establishments to try…

Thank you Traverse Journeys for allowing me to write for your blog!
