Roma goals

everything is a teacher. tutto insegna.

I thought I’d share what my goals are for my current time living in Rome. I wrote down a list of things I wanted to achieve on the plane on my way to Florence two years ago, and I thought I’d do the same thing now. It’s important to me to write down goals because it allows me to focus on what I want to prioritize, and makes the whole experience more meaningful. I did the same thing when the new year began and kept the list in a notebook I use all the time. That way I can glance at it often and see which goals I’m actively working towards and which need my attention.

Chiara Ferragni actually really inspired me to focus on goals over the past year or so. She frequently talks on her Insta about the power of visualization, which I strongly believe in too. Plus, if you give yourself a variety of short term and long term goals, it’s easier to accomplish everything.

  • Yoga once a week. Run twice a week.
  • See Papa Francesco (Pope Francis).
  • Become a regular at a caffè.
  • 2 blog posts a week, including Overseas Discoveries.
  • Visit 5 other places in Italy, 1 other country.
  • Dive into all my relationships.
  • Live la vita roma.
  • Figure out how I can stay.

Now that I’ve shared these, maybe I will do a goal update post soon. Do you practice visualization by writing down your goals?
