Introducing Italy travel planning

I am so excited to start taking clients for my Italy travel planning services!

If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, then I’m sure you know what’s happening already. I am offering one-hour travel planning calls followed by a personalized guide with recommendations and advice sent straight to your email. You can utilize me at whatever stage of planning you’re at—I’m happy to help you decide where to go, how to get between places, as well as what to see and eat and do at your destinations!

As travel picks up again, I am so happy to offer this service, especially to those who might be nervous or unsure about traveling to Europe. I have spent so much time in Italy, including living in both Florence and Rome (three times now!) and have traveled during the pandemic, so I can tell you exactly what to expect during your time in Italy.

I decided to start offering this service because it was something I was already doing for friends and family, and it really lights me up inside. Sharing Italy with others is something I’m so passionate and excited about, so the decision to offer travel planning was natural. I know the country so well and have traveled so much throughout Italy that it’d be a shame not to share some of my advice and knowledge with others. Plus, I’m overly organized and have an incredible memory—I’ll help you discover the best spots during your trip.

So, how does the travel planning process work? It’s actually pretty simple! Fill out this form and tell me a little about what you have planned and what you’d like help with. I’ll start pulling together some ideas and information for you, then we’ll hop on a one-hour video call (if you’re local to Saint Paul/Minneapolis, we can meet in person).

During the call, you can ask me any questions you’d like. It’s often helpful to discuss your plans out loud and I can answer any questions you have about traveling in Italy. Nothing is too silly to ask! I will meet you where you’re at in your planning stages and give you my advice.

After the call, I will put together your personalized guide and email it to you within one week! This will have everything we talked about and more. It often includes:

  • General tips
  • Transportation advice
  • Links to tours and places to stay
  • International travel checklist and packing list
  • Links to relevant travel guides
  • Personalized recommendations based on where you’re going
  • Restaurants, cafes, bars, and more
  • Ideas for non-touristy activities
  • Day trip recommendations depending on where you’re based

Of course, the guide will be completely personalized to you and your trip. I always make sure to include relevant information based on our conversation and what I think will be most helpful for you and your level of experience with Italy travel!

Here’s an example of a guide I created for my friend’s two-week honeymoon in Italy:

The value of working with me, instead of just doing the planning yourself or hiring another travel planner: I know Italy, and I love Italy. When you work with me, planning your trip will be easy. I’m available for any questions you have—things only a local would know and things you won’t find on other people’s travel blogs. I have a unique perspective and can help you create the most beautiful trip. Sharing cultural customs and language tips will help take your vacation a step further.

Imagine yourself strolling through a piazza in Rome, the sun on your face, living in the moment. You’ve just had the best breakfast of your life and now you’re headed to a museum you’ve always wanted to visit. Later you have dinner reservations at a well-known Roman trattoria, where you may or may not fall in love with the cute waiter. After, you’ll throw a few coins in Trevi fountain (everyone knows it’s more magical by night) then you’ll end your evening with a cone of gelato walking through Piazza Navona. Or better yet, dancing at the club.

However you want to enjoy Italy—I can help you make it happen! Fill out the form today and you’re one step closer to experiencing la dolce vita. For additional information, including a list of everywhere I’ve been in Italy, check out my Italy travel planning page.

And if you need help deciding what to pack and wear while you’re there, contact my friend Amy (otherwise known as @lemonsandlabels_) who does travel styling!

I can’t wait to help you plan your trip!
