Thanksgiving table ideas

In order to make Thanksgiving special this year (more on that in another post), I delegated myself to be our official table decorator. I love entertaining and setting a beautiful table, so I’m really happy for any excuse to do that in 2020. I wanted to have a project to look forward to in the days leading up to the holiday, to distract myself from the other “normal” things we’re missing out on, and make a beautiful experience for my family since we aren’t celebrating with my cousins like we normally do.

I already have a few pieces that I’m working with, like glass votive and candle stick holders. My mom is providing a gold tablecloth. I made a board on Pinterest to gather more ideas, and I’m thinking I’ll make custom name cards for each plate. The vibe I’m going for is earthy, dark tones, a touch of warm colors, and soft lighting with candles.

I definitely want to incorporate some greens or florals, I love the pampas grass in a few of the photos below. Since we’ve never hosted Thanksgiving, I’ve never decorated for it! Stay tuned on Instagram for the final result. In the meantime, here’s what I found on Pinterest…

Do you have plans for a beautiful table this Thanksgiving at home?
