In Paris it’s hard to not feel immediately blissful, all kinds of perfectly content feelings running through you when everything is the picture of beauty. The street style is varied but always on point, boulevards are wide and lined with bistros, and the smell of croissant and baguettes fills the air. To truly soak in this Parisian experience, after wandering around with our heads in the clouds, delighting at everything but especially the architecture, my friend and I made it to the River Seine and found the most lovely scene laid out before us…hundreds of Parisians sitting along the banks, engaged in games and drinking and picnics of the most delicious variety. We decided our only plausible next move was to run to the nearest Carrefour for a bottle of wine and join them all in their golden hour lounging. It might have been the best decision we made during the whole trip.
